Sept. 26 and 27 the Anti-Counterfeiting Educational Foundation (ACEF) will have a table in the hallway near the entrance of the Great American Coin and Collectibles Show at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, 5555 River Road, Rosemont, Il, offering to COPY stamp counterfeit coins – free of charge — for members of the public who bring fakes to the show that they have been duped into buying by online scammers.

The Hobby Protection Act specifies that a counterfeit coin bearing an incused COPY mark on either side is legal to own in the United States. Otherwise, a counterfeit coin is illegal to import, own, sell, or buy in the United States.

Attending the show will provide the opportunity to see real coins and meet trusted and real professional dealers.

Those unable to attend the show can locate a trustworthy dealer near where they live by visiting ACEF’s Trusted Experts Directory.
